job description

Under the responsibility of the team leader for embedded products, the Industrial Designer assists product designers by producing technical documents or parts lists (BOM), while respecting quality standards and the work schedule.

More specifically the designer will be in charge of:

  • create parts lists (BOM) for orders in progress;

  • model 3D parts and assemblies;

  • produce part manufacturing drawings;

  • produce assembly drawings for the production of light fixtures;

  • produce installation drawings for clients;

  • produce lists and diagrams for development and certification projects;

  • carry out the necessary research to produce the drawings in the available documentation;

  • perform simple calculations, readings and interpretation of measurements;

  • schematise connections and electrical circuits;

  • interpret technical information about lighting components and fixtures;

  • complete the documentation associated with the draftsman's work;

  • perform other related duties that may assist in the completion of the projects.


required skills

  • The incumbent must hold a DEP or an AEC in Computer Graphics or Industrial Design or equivalent or in a field that may be considered relevant to the position;

  • Experience from 0 to 2 years in technical drawing and 3D modeling of parts;

  • Master Autodesk Inventor (otherwise Solidworks);

  • Master the Adobe Illustrator software;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics will be considered an asset;

  • Easy to interpret technical information;

  • Have a great attention to detail;

  • Demonstrate a great sense of organization, initiative and autonomy;

  • Demonstrate good team spirit and interpersonal skills;

  • Excellent French and English communication (written and spoken).
