Quality Control Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and applying certification instructions by intervening directly with production staff to ensure that our procedures and standards are respected, and by carrying out quality and conformity inspections on our parts, pre-assemblies and products. More specifically, the incumbent is responsible for:
Examining and testing products to identify defects;
Providing expert opinions on identified problems and failures;
Making recommendations for improving quality policies;
Collecting and analyzing data related to issues encountered to determine root causes;
Inspecting lighting fixtures to ensure compliance with operational standards;
Training new employees on internal quality rules;
Providing training during the implementation of corrective actions;
Ensuring product specifications are followed across all production lines;
Monitoring the implementation of corrective actions in the involved departments;
Conducting weekly inspections and following up on corrective actions;
Ensuring the cleanliness and general hygiene of the premises;
Managing and coordinating the quality inspection team to ensure consistency and rigorin inspections;
Communicating effectively with suppliers, as well as with the purchasing, planning, anddesign departments, to resolve non-conformities and implement necessary corrections;
Supporting and documenting R&D activities;
Defining procedures, testing methods, and testing equipment related to electricalmaterials, based on the specifications;
Performing measurements, controls, and equipment adjustments;
Collaborating with the laboratory, as needed, on certain certification files;
Supporting quality assurance activities, staying up to date with industry best practices,and proposing improvements to existing procedures;
Coordinating the team responsible for warranty returns (RGA):
Overseeing the processing of defective products returned by customers;
Ordering necessary replacement parts;
Collaborating with the after-sales service department to assist in credit issuancedecisions;
Ensuring the smooth and timely processing of returns.
Actively participating in the integration and monitoring of quality modules in thecompany's ERP system;
Performing any other related tasks relevant to the role
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, or a relevant field), or equivalentexperience in quality control within the lighting industry;
Good knowledge of lighting products and UL certification standards;
Bilingual, both spoken and written, with effective communication skills;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
Autonomous, dynamic, methodical, and conscientious.
