JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the responsibility of the Technical Sales & Integrated Solutions Manager, the technical support representative is the main point of contact for the internal sales department from a technical point of view. The person provides technical expertise and in-depth advice for various customer technical requests and collaborates in resolving problems with products in order to meet and satisfy customer needs.

As part of your job, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support the inside sales department from a technical point of view;

  • Receive, analyze and verify the feasibility of requests for special products;

  • Establish prices for modified and custom products;

  • Coordinate with custom department specialists and Engineers/designers in Headquarter (Italy) to determine custom project feasibilities

  • Communicate with customer service and, if necessary, with external sales representatives to understand and unalize the customers requirements and synthesize the necessary information;

  • Ensure effective communication between the various stakeholders who must be involved;

  • Sort and organize the priorities of the requests and coordinate the work so that these are respected;

  • Ensure rigorous follow-ups for the progress of projects and works so that standards and deadlines are respected.

  • If necessary, request a feasibility check from the Special Products Team Leader by actively participating in the search for technical solutions;

  • Perform the necessary research to support colleagues

  • Complete the documentation associated with the work;

  • Provide technical expertise and in-depth advice for various customer technical requests and collaborate to solve problems with products in order to meet and satisfy customer needs according to established standards of follow-up and resolution times;

  • Keep inside sales representatives and other stakeholders informed as needed on the progress of the resolution and decisions;

  • Collaborate in the implementation of tools to improve response times;

  • Participate in team meetings;

  • Perform any other related tasks that may help in the realization of the projects.

  • Utilize ERP system to follow the feasibility researches and issue custom requests

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Electrical / Mechanical bachelor or equivalent

  • Familiar with ERP systems

  • Solve problems creatively;

  • Knowledge of electrical codes

  • Knowledge of lighting components (LEDs, optics, driver,etc.) desired

  • Familaiar with  UL basics

  • Understanding of lighting concepts, photometric units and IES definitions (Lumens, Candela, Efficacy, etc.);

  • Knowledge of electrical power supplies (drivers);

  • Knowledge of control systems(dimming systems, sensores, etc.) ;
