The purpose of the position:

Under the supervision and responsibility of the Technical Solutions Team Leader, the Technical Draftsman will provide the necessary technical drawing support for the sale of lighting fixtures, while respecting internal processes and quality standards. They will participate in the creation of drawings for different stages of projects.

Job description:

  • Produce specification drawings to support sales.

  • Organize and plan the workflow.

  • Plan lighting installation sequences under supervision, according to applicable standards, to produce and verify installation drawings for clients.

  • Conduct necessary research for drawing creation using available documentation.

  • Perform simple calculations, measurements, and interpretation.

  • Consult plans, drawings, and 3D files using Autocad and/or Autodesk Inventor.

  • Diagram electrical connections and circuits.

  • Provide support to various stakeholders.

  • Complete associated documentation.

  • Attend team meetings.

  • Perform any other related tasks to help project completion.

Education:

Minimum: Technical Drawing course (DEP), AEC

Ideal: Technical DEC in Industrial Design

 

Software:

Illustrator. Asset: Inventor or Solidworks.

Autonomy, proactivity, versatility, resourcefulness, attention to detail.

 

Work environment and conditions:

The incumbent must be able to work on projects with deadlines.
